How to Get Rid of Puffy Eyes

Mix about a half teaspoon of salt into a quart of warm water and then soak some of it up with cotton balls or facial pads. When a person does not get enough water, the body tries to store water in various places and this includes the skin in the area around the eyes. Make sure to drink about eight glasses of water per day and this should help to prevent and reduce puffy eyes. Avoid drinking things like soda and other caffeinated drinks because for many people, the can contribute to the problem.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera gel is an effective multi-purpose skin care product. It is rich in nutrients and amino acids that can restore health to the skin and it can also be great for preventing and addressing the signs of aging. For puffy eyes, just apply a small amount of the gel to the affected area. Since aloe could irritate the eye, you will want to be careful as you are applying the treatment.
