How to Get Rid of Freckles

Buttermilk

Buttermilk is a great skin care product that can be beneficial for a variety of different purposes. Simply put buttermilk on the area of the skin where you have freckles, leave it on for about 15-minutes and then wash it off. Repeat this process 1-2 times daily for a few weeks and you should see results.

Horseradish

Being rich in vitamin C, horseradish can be good for fading the color of freckles. You could apply horseradish juice to the skin and let it sit for about 15-minutes before washing it off to, or you could make a paste from grated horseradish and lemon juice and apply that to the freckles. Either way, you will need to apply the treatment about once a day for a few weeks before you see results.

Eggplant

Eggplant is rich in antioxidants and it has natural properties that can help to fade freckles. To apply a treatment with eggplant, slice it up into thin pieces and place it on the freckled skin. Gently rub the slice against the skin and then leave them on the area for about 10-minutes. After doing so for about a week, you should see results.

Papaya

Papaya can work as a good skin care product whether you have freckles or not. The fruit can be used for exfoliation and it has enzyme compounds that inhibit the production of melanin. Take a papaya and cut it into some fine slices, crush the slices and place these pieces on the area of the skin where the freckles appear. Leave the pieces on the skin for about 15-minutes and then remove it, and wash the area with water. Regular application of this treatment will work well for removing freckles that are resistant to other methods.

Lemon

The ascorbic acid in lemon provides this fruit with some skin lightening properties and that means that it can be used for reducing the color of freckles. You can apply the lemon juice directly to the freckles to fade their color, or you could add lemon juice to a variety of other lightening agents like the papaya or horseradish.
